"The Separation Between Political Parties" By: Kateleigh Wampler

Do you ever wonder why politics has two parties? Why they view two ideas differently? Well, the two sides are important to discussions and debates because if every single person had the same view, then there would be no notion to see the other side of the argument that might be helpful for the discussion. Democrats and Republicans have very different understandings on what the government should be and how it should be run. For example, democrats think that the government should be ruled by a democracy or the people, while the republicans have this indication that an appointed official should run the government according to the U.S. Constitution.

Some people might ask, how does this relate to MGA? Well, it does not depend on your political denomination, democrat or republican, however, it depends on your passion and how you feel about the topic. For example, abortion is a very hot topic in politics today because it is popular among women. According to On the Issues.org and republican views.org, democrats believe that the woman should have her rights and she can choose to kill the baby, while, republicans believe that the unborn baby has rights of an individual even though it is not born yet. Now relating this back to MGA, you can have this view that a child has it’s rights when it is unborn but you can be a democrat or you have the appreciation that the mother should have her rights and you can be a republican. In conclusion, it does not matter with what impression you have on your political view, but as long as you speak what you are passionate about you can put politics behind you.
