"College Staff and Advice" By: Valeria Lopez-Altamirano

Here at MGA (Model General Assembly) we have a wonderful selection of college advisors. They are here to help the members at MGA with anything they may need and to direct everyone on what they should do. All the college staff here has been apart of MGA, and continue to help because  they are passionate, and enjoy the whole MGA atmosphere. Here At MGA there are 18 people that are part of the college staff members. All these members have different positions and dedicate themselves here to help out as much as they possibly can.

     Underclassmen Legislature college staff member Colt Gordon said, “Just be confident and you will not be seeing these people again so express your opinion as much as you would like as well as don’t be afraid to speak your mind if you want to your opinions are valuable and if they dislike them then what can you do? Not very much now can you.” His colleague also working with the Underclassmen Legislature Joey Hildebrandt said a major take away from MGA would be to apply the skills you learned here and apply them in your day to day life.

Joey Hildebrandt had been motivated to join MGA due to his sisters they both had been in MGA and very much enjoyed as a matter of fact Joey’s older sister is an environmental lawyer and she worked with the MGA program in North Carolina while in college as a staff member. On the other side Colt Gordon began MGA due to his history teacher who had already been doing activities similar to MGA in class, and they had been informed of MGA and they had filled out all the paperwork necessary to join MGA and that is how his interest in MGA came to be.
